What this role is about
As our Head of Education, you will be responsible for building a comprehensive and high quality learning experience on employability, tech and English upskilling for software engineers. Your success will be measured by our Talents' program completion rate by:
- Leading our teams of content creation.
- Designing and developing world-class on-demand and live content specialized in tech job industry, in conjunction with the overall product and company strategy.
- Developing new ways of training engineers on computational problem-solving, blended with practical coding patterns needed in technical interviews.
- Building the infrastructure within the Education team for long-term scalability in a continually evolving work environment.
You will join our team to make our goal of OKRs a reality: be the Edtech with the experience and content that delivers the best results for our students.
What you will do
- You will partner with our Co-Founder and COO, serving as a strategic thought partner, project manager, and executor. Initially, you will demonstrate your attention to detail and be counted on to help with the development of our placement framework and serve as the primary day-to-day Project Manager.
- Structuring an area of Content intensive in audiovisual and written content in the areas of Career, English and Tech, ensuring quality of content, instructional design and overall course experience.
- At first, this role will structure the curriculum of the current Talently program and later will lead the launch of new programs such as the Data Science Program, in cross collaboration with other teams at Talently (such as Mentorship, Marketing, Admissions, Product).
- Closely collaborate with our Mentorship team to achieve the goals of monthly placements.
- You will be in charge of the scalability of the Talently product, implementing content from 3rd party content providers and ensuring platform integration in coordination with the product area, among other scalability initiatives.
- Lead the development, iteration, and quality control of our live sessions and continue introducing other synchronous learning opportunities.
- Lead the hiring and agile execution of a Content Team (content creators and production).
- Leading the strategy of External Talently Coaches (career, English, tech), including recruitment, management and generating incentives to attract the best talent with us.
- Participate as a part of Talently’s management team, contribute to Product roadmap decisions, and add value to the strategic guidance of the company.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years combined business operations and consulting experience of experience leading an Education team in a fast-paced startup environment (bonus if Edtech/HR tech startups).
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing project plans for multi-faceted, cross-functional projects.
- Experience playing a significant role in launching a new offering is strongly desired, ideally educational products.
- Leadership experience with responsibility for business results in a fast-paced, multi-function environment.
- Creative problem solver with proven results in developing and improving processes in business operations.
- Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail.
- Must be a high-integrity, driven team player with the flexibility to meet the demands of changing business priorities.
